Privacy Policy

When you save or generate a recipe, we store the text you submitted and the rewritten output, along with anything you build from it — your library, meal plan, grocery list, and kitchen profile. Recipes are filed under a random ID, and that ID is what makes your recipe link work. Recipe links are unlisted but public: anyone who has one can view that recipe, so only share links with people you'd show the recipe to. We ask search engines not to index them.

To read and rewrite your recipe, we send its text — and any photo or PDF you import — to Anthropic's API (the company behind the Claude AI models). Anthropic processes it to return a result; their handling is covered by Anthropic's own privacy policy. If you import from a link, we fetch that page to read the recipe on it.

Signing in is handled by Clerk, our sign-in provider, which stores your email address and name. We use them to let you sign in and to keep your library attached to you — nothing else. Viewing a shared recipe never requires an account.

We use PostHog to understand how the app is actually used — which pages get opened, whether an import succeeded or failed, when a cook plan gets generated. These events are served from our own domain rather than a third-party script.

When you're signed in, those events are associated with your account (your user ID, email, and name) so we can tell whether the app works for real people over time rather than just counting anonymous clicks. We don't use any of it to track you across other apps or websites, and we don't share it with advertisers.

Like most websites, our servers keep standard logs that include IP addresses. We retain them briefly and use them only to prevent abuse and enforce rate limits.

You can delete your account from the menu in the app. Doing so removes your sign-in account and erases the data attached to it: your saved recipes and plans, meal plan, grocery list, and kitchen profile. This is immediate and can't be undone. Links you've already shared will stop working. If you'd rather we did it for you, email us.

We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't track you across other apps or websites, and we don't hand your recipes to anyone beyond the providers named above.
